Searcy 2010 Mayoral Runoff Election Results

News Talk 99.1 has reported the final unofficial election results in the 2010 Searcy mayoral runoff held today. The results were:
  • Mayor Belinda LaForce - 1372 votes
  • David Morris - 2022 votes
Now that the elections are over, let's all be responsible citizens and continue to participate in our government letting our officials on all levels know what our ideas and hopes are for our city, state, and nation. Let's also hold all our elected officials accountable for the decisions they make as our representatives.

Update: The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is reporting slightly different results (1374/2022). If you're interested in the other 2010 runoff elections around Arkansas this November, the Democrat-Gazette is compiling the runoff election results.

Searcy 2010 Mayoral Runoff Election

The White County Clerk has provided information on the 2010 Searcy mayoral runoff election.  The runoff election for the Searcy, Pangburn, and Bald Knob mayor races will be November 23rd from 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.

Also according to the County Clerk, "Early voting will begin in the County Clerk's Office on Tuesday, November 16 during normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m."

Searcy Mayor General Election Results

No candidate for Searcy Mayor won a majority of the vote in yesterday's election, so a runoff election will be held November 23.

According to Searcy.com, the unofficial final vote totals in the general election were the following:
  • Mayor Belinda LaForce - 2189 votes (38.26% of votes cast)
  • David Morris - 1954 votes (34.15% of votes cast)
  • Kyle Reeves - 1578 votes (27.58% of votes cast)
The candidates that Searcy voters will choose from in the November 23, 2010, runoff will be Mayor Belinda LaForce and David Morris.
